As pastor of Hunterdale Baptist Church, I am always concerned about people's relationship with the Lord Jesus. The key ingredient
to this relationship is our love for the Lord. The Bible tells us that we should love the Lord with all our heart. Our love
for the Lord affects everything we do. Our love for the Lord is seen in what we do and do not do for Him. When we love someone
properly, we do things for them because we want to show them that we love them. People make all kinds of sacrifices for those
they love. Is there something missing in people's lives when they fail to do something special for the Lord Who loved them
and gave Himself for them? Our love for the Lord should motivate us to serve the Lord with gladness because we want to please
Him above everything else. We must remember that we are not left here to please ourselves or live the way we want to live.
We are here to honor the Lord, glorify the Lord, to serve the Lord, and to put Him first in our lives. One day all of us will
stand before the Lord to be judged. Wouldn't it be great to hear the Lord say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant"?
The sad thing is that everyone does not have a relationship with Him. From studying the Bible, I know that a person can be
saved and enjoy heaven when life on earth is over, but they must repent of their sins and invited Jesus into their heart.
John 14:6 says, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
